Nicola & Rod-Goldie & Stonyridge vineyard wedding

Nicola & Rod are based in Hong Kong, and chose Waiheke Island for their wedding destination because Rod grew up in Auckland and his family is still based here and beacuse they love it here :).

However they couldn't decide on the venue for their wedding..

It was between Goldie vineyard and Stonyridge vineyard.. both amazing venues...and so they booked them both for different parts of the day ! Result !

Their wedding planner and stlyist Sophia at My Waiheke pulled it all together, impecabbly styled as always.

The ceremony was at Goldie, followed by guests being transferred to Stonyridge for a Chinese tea ceremony  ( Nicola wore her Mums traditional outfit, so equisite with hand embroidery ).

For the Tea ceremony the couple offer chinese tea to their parents as a sign of respect for both families, and then in turn other significant family elders. After the drinking of the tea, in return the couple are offered the gift of red envelopes containing money and blessings for their future.

Then followed the reception at Stonyridge complete with western style speeches, cutting of the cake and the first dance! Nicola changed into her 3rd dress of the day (lucky her!) for the first dance.

A great day with so many beautiful details, i am looking forward to designing their Queensberry album.
